Performance Coaching Staff

NICOLAS A. VANBOGELEN AT, ATC, CSCS
Nick received his degree in Athletic Training and Exercise Science from Albion College. While at Albion college he was the middle linebacker for the Brits football team all four years.
Since Nick started working for Orthopaedic Rehab Specialists he has provided medical coverage as an athletic trainer at several area schools. Most notably Nick enjoyed his time spent with the Grass Lake Warriors when the football team made it to Ford Field and the baseball team won the State Championship.
Nick is also a Certified Strength & Conditioning Specialist through the National Strength & Conditioning Association, Nick has been actively involved with implementing performance training to improve the athletic ability of the greater Jackson area athletes.
Nick has worked with a wide range of athletes from collegiate field hockey to collegiate football, to kids as young as seven. Most recently, Nick has been working with the Jackson Community College Jets Men’s Soccer Team. Nick is constantly in pursuit to improve his knowledge in performance enhancement as well as strength and conditioning to better train his athletes.
TYLER R. CORTRIGHT MS, AT, ATC, CSCS
Tyler received his degree in Athletic Training from Hope College. During his time at Hope College he spent time with numerous athletic teams at the college. He also spent time at a physical therapy clinic in the Holland area, and Zeeland East Public Schools. Most distinctly, Tyler spent two preseasons working with the Green Bay Packers. While at Green Bay he assisted the ATC’s with treatments, rehab, and coverage of games and practices.
Tyler is a certified athletic trainer providing medical coverage and strength and conditioning leadership to Concord High School. He has a Masters Degree in Sports Management and also is a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS). When he is not at Concord High School he works with Nick and Matt to provide performance training to the Jackson area athletes to help them become better athletes.
MATT DRAPER AT, ATC, CSCS
Matt completed his undergraduate degree from Central Michigan University. He double majored in Athletic Training and Health Fitness in Rehabilitative Sciences with a minor in Psychology. During his undergraduate experience, he worked with the Men’s football, basketball, and baseball teams as a student athletic trainer.
Matt completed internships at Georgia Tech for both strength and conditioning and athletic training. During those internships he worked with Men’s football, basketball, baseball, tennis and swimming, as well as Women’s basketball, and swimming. While at Georgia Tech, he was an athletic training intern for the 2009 ACC Champion yellow jacket football team.
Matt is currently a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist through the National Strength & Conditioning Association and is working towards a Master’s degree in Health Administration.
